Mapping Your GoDaddy Domain to Work with a Blogger Blog
I found this help page from GoDaddy useful so I thought of re-posting. I’ve added some graphics for easy walk-through of the instructions. I also made some slight modifications based on how things worked with me.
To point your Blogger blog to your domain, you set up domain mapping, which configures your blog settings and dmain. You update your settings in your Blogger account and Domain Manager, as follows:
Edit the “www” CNAME record for the domain you want to use with your Blogger account. This tells the Web browser to open your Blogger blog when visitors enter your domain URL in the browser address bar.
To Edit Your CNAME Record
1. Log in to your Account Manager
2. In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.

3. Click the domain you want to use for your Blogger blog.
4. In the Total DNS section, click the Total DNS Control hyperlink.

5. In the CNAMES section, click the Edit button for the “www” record.
![]()
6. Click OK to confirm you want to edit the record.
7. In the Points To Host Name field, type ghs.google.com.
8. Click OK
Forward your domain to use “www”. This ensures your Blogger blog displays for visitors who go to your domain with or without the “www” prefix. For example, it displays for visitors who entered both www.coolexample.com and coolexample.com.
To Forward Your Domain
1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
3. Use the checkbox to select the domain you want to forward to your Blogger blog.
4. Select Forward, and then click Forward Domain.

5. Select http:// or https:// depending on your server settings.
6. In the Forward to field, enter the complete URL, with the “www”, to which you want to forward your domain name. For example, www.coolexample.com.
7. Click the Advanced Options hyperlink.
8. Select Forward Only
9. Click OK.
To Configure Your Blogger Account
1. Log in to your Blogger account.
2. Go to the Settings tab.
3. Click Publishing.

4. Click the Custom Domain hyperlink.
5. In the Buy a domain for your blog section, click the Switch to advanced settings hyperlink.
6. In the Your Domain field, enter your domain name. For example, enter www.coolexample.com.

7. To specify another location in which to look for files, in the Use a missing files host? section, select Yes and enter the path. If not, specify No.
8. In the Word Verification field, enter the characters as they display in the image above the field.
9. Click Save Settings.
